Corporate Social Responsibility
Every company usually starts out with its own set of agenda, which differs from business to business. A lot of businesses exist simply to make money for the owners/shareholders...but we think differently. During the incorporation of Hexa, our founders discussed our vision & mission and we unanimously agreed that we should be committed to having a positive impact on the community and our society. We are strong believers that "the wiser the youths are, the wiser the nation will be; the stronger the youths are, the stonger the nation will be." In China, three out of every four children grow up in rural areas (including the two co-founders of Hexa). Unfortunately, they face many obstacles (mainly financial issue) to the academic achievement that their urban peers do not. According to Scott Rozelle, professor of Stanford University, about 63% rural children failed to have high-school education. Therefore we decided to reserve a specific amount of money out of every ton of products we sell to establish the HEXA Foundation. The foundation’s objective is to support the underprivileged and disadvantaged youth in China through grant projects focusing on education and empowerment. Our business is still relatively small therefore the contribution is not very significant, but we believe that "No accumulation of steps, can't lead to thousand miles. No integration of streams, can't result in seas and oceans." Join us, and let's make it a better world!
